Time Trials

Time trials are races where the rider competes against the clock to cover a set distance over a specified course.

The common distances are 10 and 25 miles. Riders start at minute intervals, and ride individually.

From April through to September the Club runs a series of TimeTrials every Tuesday evening. There are one 5 mile and two 10 mile courses, based around RNAS Yeovilton. The HQ for all three courses is now the Marston Magna Village Hall. It is about 3 miles to the start for 5 mile events, a short ride to the other end of Marston Magna for the usual 10 (UC30/10) or 4 miles for the occasional 10 on the A303 which starts in Podimore village.

The events and their start times are listed on the Calendar page. Anyone is welcome to ride the Club events, provided they are a member of an CTT affiliated Club. A special day membership (£6.00) is available to enable riders to try the discipline before they join the club as a full member. Please allow thirty minutes before the start of the event to sign on and collect your race number.

The costs are as follows:

  • Yeovil CC juniors £2.00
  • Other juniors £3.50
  • Yeovil CC seniors £4.00
  • Affiliated seniors £5.00
  • Non affiliated seniors £6.00

The results from the weekly evening events can be found on the Results page.
