TT results for 2nd June

The thunderstorms did abate as scheduled but the strong westerley wind made it hard going on the leg to Ilchester.

Despite the poor conditions visiting rider, Will Baldie, trainSharp Roman RT, set a new course record of 20:21,. Made more impressive by the that fact he is still a Junior.

Nearly 50% of the field were YCC riders with Ben Warman being fastest both on actual and age adjusted times.

To mark National Bike Week the 5 mile TT next week (Tuesday) will be another “Come and Try It for Free” event. No need to belong to a club, just come along to the HQ in West Camel (David Hall) and sign on before 6:45pm. You must have a front and rear light, turned on whilst competing. The course is very simple and mostly flat, along the road that runs through RNAS Yeovilton to the first roundabout in Ilchester. Come along and give it a try.
