Time trial results July 12th

Finally the numbers are returning to ‘normal’, eighteen riders this week, helped by a strong contingent from Wincanton Wheelers. No doubt the fine weather was a major contributor to the rise in entrants but it also helped several riders improve their Personal Bests.

Commiserations to Jil Gosney who got through two thirds of the course when she hit one of the major potholes that pepper the road surface at Stockwitch Cross, luckily it was only a short walk back to the HQ with a flat tyre.

Alec Rich was the fastest YCC rider, just 3 seconds behind Chris Booth (Army CU) who clocked the fastest time of 22:35.

Fastest lady was Fiona Bradshaw (1st Chard Wheelers) with Bethany Simmonds the fastest YCC female rider.

Next week is a 5 mile event and the last of the 7pm starts, the following three 10 milers all start at 6:45pm
