Rogers set to keep trophy after record ride
What a magnificent stayer Ian Rogers, of the Bath Cyucling Club is. Riding in the Yeovil CC's annual 12 hour event on Sunday, this tall popular clubman, who won the Evening Post Cotter Pin Cup outright two seasons ago, and last year put his name on the plinth of the new perpetual trophy, virtually made sure of winning it again for the 1960 season with a personal, event course and Cotter Pin record of 262 miles and about 80 yards.

Yeovil Riders feat of Endurance. Early on Sunday morning a Yeovil Cycling Club member, Roy Stainer, who now lives in Blandford, finished a sensational ride over the Yeovil to London and back route. He covered the 246 miles in 13 hours 40 minutes and 27 seconds.
