It looked like it was going to be a repeat of last week, warm but very windy, until 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. As the riders gathered in the HQ huge storm clouds gathered and then dumped a torrent of rain. Thankfully it cleared as quickly as it arrived and most of the riders could start their warm up in the dry. There was still a lot of surface water but at least the wind had dropped substantially.
On actual times Mark Hughes was quickest overall, just one second ahead of Giles White. Marc Powell was the fastest YCC rider.
Giles was over 30 seconds ahead of the rest of the field on Age Adjusted times.
The first 10 of the season next week, 6:45pm start.
