The first event in the Evening Time Trial Series took place last night with six competitors battling a strong headwind on the way to Ilchester.
Having cancelled last week’s event because of the rain it was good to get underway and should give everyone a time from which they can improve.
In addition to the actual times the results sheet also has an ‘age adjusted time’. These are calculated using a set of standards which take into account a rider’s age and gender. The theory being that if everyone performed to the same level irrespective of their age/gender when the time allowance is deducted all would have the same time.
Next week: 5 mile and 6:45pm start.
