TT Results June 13th

Wed 14th June 2023

Before we get to the Results on behalf of you all I should like to take this opportunity to thank our Club President, Gary Mitchener, for his long time support of the Time Trials. Despite being a road man at heart he has helped with the time trials for more years than either of us care to remember, but he has now decided it is time to step back. He will probably still be at the event but no longer as your time keeper. So we are going to need an extra person to help, most likely as a marshal, each week. If you can help then please contact David Notley or Derek Todd

The table was topped and tailed by our Junior riders again this week. Will Salter set the bench mark with a 22:19 – getting closure to Jack Dallyn’s course record of 21:14. Toby Robertson, in his first 10 mile test, was just over the 31 minutes.

We had a number of ’new’ riders for the Come and Try It, the first time we have done a 10 mile option.

Next week is the second outing on the dual carriageway, and the last this year. Same start time and HQ just a slightly longer ride to and from the start/finish. We need good weather for this, if it is damp and the risk of poor visibility makes it unsafe we will revert to the usual course.
